The Migrant Kitchen is a catering business, founded by two friends, whose mission is to fairly employ migrant workers. When Covid-19 hit, the founders had to quickly pivot and their endeavor became much more. We helped differentiate the brands of the two entities that resulted.

The first step was to define and distinguish the for-profit arm from the nonprofit. What are their shared traits, how are they different? What did we want to achieve?

The team wanted to keep the 501c3 tied to the for-profit brand, but still have it stand apart. So we trimmed the palette to one that was sturdy and foundational. We developed a mark that was complementary, and we refined the messaging to give it its own narrative.
